I currently serve as the UX/UI Project Leader at Selective Insurance, leading a dedicated team of UX designers. Our team is engaged in multiple significant projects, including Selective's mobile application, customer portal, First Notice of Loss (FNOL) portal, and claims portal. We utilize user testing, wireframing, and prototyping methodologies to develop innovative solutions that enhance user experience. Before joining Selective Insurance, I worked at a well-known UX firm, where I honed my skills in user experience design. At Selective, I have played a pivotal role in establishing the company's visual brand guidelines and managing large-scale initiatives, such as the production of the annual report, video content, corporate facilities branding, and Selective's Sustainability Report. My background includes a blend of UX, visual design, and front-end coding experience, allowing me to approach projects from multiple perspectives.
I have a strong foundation in visual design as well, but I find that my true passion lies in building things and understanding how they work. I thrive on determining what needs to go where through wireframing and prototyping, as I believe that this foundational work is crucial to creating effective user experiences. High-fidelity design, while important, often feels like the easier part of the process to me.
In today's digital era, it is essential for designers to understand how design principles apply across all forms of communication, both traditional and digital, from wireframes to websites and everything in between. This is where I thrive—exploring the endless possibilities of design within this ever-evolving landscape.
